I'm not sure why guys make such a meal of it. They seem to think that it's on a par with open-heart surgery and that they are going to be the centre of attention in an operating theatre. Is that because they want everyone to think that they as hesitant because it is life threatening surgery or, as I think, insincerity.
I will own up, before we consulted our doctor, to thinking that castration was going to be major surgery. After hearing what she had to say about it, I could see that it was a minor procedure and that there was nothing to be afraid of. It is so minor that after the procedure they didn't arrange transport to bring him home, he had to get a UBER.
