webp format

Think the gallery could accept this? It's supported by practically all browsers and is quite effective at saving space, especially compared to the gif format for animated images. It would also save me the work of having to convert formats to upload here.

Okay to clarify, I'm actually aware the gallery does not accept .webp files. I want to suggest that it should.

I wish I got a quarter for every time I had to 'snip' a picture off of a screen to get it to save as a jpg or png. webp doesn't have any advantage over the other formats, it's just different. I understand not wanting to reformat a picture library, which is why I'll always switch formats before saving webp images
