It seems like most people are here just to read the stories, not to interact.

I guess it doesn't help things that spammers are allowed to run wild also, so if you post a new topic it may not be on the front page for long.

Anybody know of a better site on this topic ?
 
It’s just one of those things people are almost entirely self-centred and believe everything is one sided and for them.
I think we need to just double down and answer more to show them the norms
 
A decent rule of thumb on forums seems to be about 1 reply for every 100 views or so. Not sure what drives it. But its not hard to imagine that dozens of people can read a thread title, check out the post, then learn that its not really what they're interested it so they move on without replying. And of course, not everyone who reads these pages are a registered member. They could trip the view counter but usually aren't going to sign up to reply.

But Dig420 cleaned up the spam the other day, so at least it'll be a little easier to have discussions now.
