    you don't have much tissue there like in an ear, so they can take a really long time to fully heal, like 9 months or more. it was around that for me. you have to take really good care of them, so it's a lot of work during that time, but especially the first couple of months. after that it gets better. they'll hurt a little at first, but it wasn't that bad at least for me (they might hurt more on your period tho).

    you do have to be careful with them the first few months esp. wear loose tops, and be careful not to snag them on anything, which is easy to do b/c you're not used to them being there. take showers, not baths. baths are a good way to get a new piercing infected. totally worth it tho!
