I know some black girls hate it when we borrow some of their styles, like doing our hair this way. I’ve done my hair this way before as well, several times. They call it cultural appropriation, accusing us of theft of their identity. I’m sorry to all those black queens who feel this way, we mean no harm in it. We simply appreciate the beauty and wish to copy it, which is really the sincerest form of flattery there is. It’s a compliment.
